Today is the 8th of May, 2013. A date to remember. Rembrance of significant dates may very well be one of the most important reasons for the creation of, and maintenance of, the calendar. The Bible tells us that even in days of old commemoration of certain seasons and days warranted special attention by God: celebrations or alters, for example.
So, today, May 8, 2013, the day that would have been my precious father's 89th birthday, I take time to honor him; to remember him and to send it out into the Cyber World in proclamation.
Wayne Allen Hawkins, b. May 8, 1924, d. Feb. 4, 2007. An upright man. A friend to all. Respected by all. A fine Christian man with a gentle heart, a heart that yearned for Jesus and that now resides with Jesus, but whose living presence will always and forever thrive in the hearts, minds, and memories of those still walking this earth.
Here's to you, Daddy -- Chrome Dome!! Poppie!! Daddi-o!! Old Man!! My kindred soul... I love you and SO look forward to the DAY we will meet again in the Kingdom!
